Landscape at Montourcy #3
This work in oil pastels is of the landscape near Montourcy in the Auvergne of south-central France, noted for its vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight.
At two different times during the 1990s, I lived in France and painted its landscapes. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint more.
I did this work with professional grade oil pastels on 22-inch high x 30-inch wide acid-free age-resistant heavy oil painting paper.
The painting is signed and dated on the back
(2001).
