Near Calvinet II
At two different times during the 1990s, I lived in France and painted its landscapes noted for their vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint more.
This is an oil painting of the landscape near Calvinet in the Cantal of the Auvergne region in south-central France.
I did this oil painting on 8-inch high x 12-inch wide painting paper. The painting is mounted on board and in a white wood frame 13-inch high x 17-inch wide x 0.75-inch deep.
The painting is wired ready for hanging and is signed on the front in the lower right corner and is signed and dated on the back (1999).
