View of Cantal Mountains I
I did this 7.4-inch-high x 11-inch-wide oil painting on painting paper mounted on a wood board. The painting is framed and wired for hanging.
This is a landscape of the Cantal Mountains in the Auvergne within the Massif Central of France. In the early 1990s, I lived in the Auvergne and painted landscapes having vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint more.
The painting is in a white wood frame that is 12.75 inches high x 16.25 inches wide and is 1 inch deep. It is signed on the front and on the back and is dated on the back (2000).
