Landscape of Calvinet I
Clouds and hills of Calvinet in the Cantal of the Auvergne region in south-central France.
This 15-inch-high x 22-inch-wide painting was done with pigment sticks and oil paint on heavy painting paper that is mounted on a board with a 0.25-inch-wide x 1.13-inch-deep wood strip frame.
At two different times during the 1990s, I lived in south-central France and painted its landscapes. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint more.
The painting is wired ready for hanging. It is signed by me on the lower right front and is signed and dated on the back (1999).
