African Tulips in Water #4
African tulips floating in a pool were my inspiration for a series of paintings.
During the sixteen years that I lived in Jamaica West Indies, views such as this afforded me an opportunity to interplay colors, light and shadows with a somewhat abstract approach.
I did this work with oil pigment sticks on acid-free age-resistant heavy painting paper 17.5 inches high x 23.5 inches wide.
The painting is signed in the lower right corner, dated on the back, and is mounted behind dark red matting and anti-reflection glass in a grey metal frame 27.75 inches x 33.5 inches x 0.75 inch deep ready for hanging.
