Shells and Plant View through Window
This window frame in Jamaica along with the shells on the window sill and the plant viewed through the window were the subjects of my painting done with soft pastels on 19-inch-high x 26-inch-wide heavy painting paper.
When I lived in Jamaica West Indies, using large areas of colors that reflected a minimal and abstract approach to the subject matter and themes such as views framed by windows dominated my work.
The work is signed in the lower right corner and dated on the back.
The painting is behind glass in a 24-inch-high x 31-inch-wide x 1.125-inch-thick dark blue wood frame.
