Looking through Sal Mar
During the sixteen years I lived in Jamaica West Indies, the interplay of light and shadows became central to my work.
Using large areas of colors that reflect a minimal and abstract approach to the subject matter, themes such as views framed by windows dominated my works.
I painted this scene using oils on a 32-inch-high x 52-inch-wide stretched linen on a 0.75-inch-deep stretcher frame with the sides of the canvas painted. The painting is ready for hanging and is signed and dated on the back (1990).
